Espana won its first title in 44 years last night.

It was bonkers. The partying went on all night.

I watched the game in a bar with my friend Cara, her Spanish husband and his family.

Her husband's is Itor. How cool is that! Like By-Tor and the Snow Dog, the Rush Tune.

It was a great night. A historic one with many possible implications. Spaniards don't normally celebrate the flag. It's seen as a symbol of the PP Party (the right). Catalunians see themselves as Catalans (Barcleona). The same with Galicians and the Basques. I've witnessed a national pride i've never seen in a year and a half here. So who knows? Maybe it's a step towards unity.
