A long time ago on a Friday night my Mum said, "Do you want to watch the Planets of the Apes tonight? I think you'll like it." I watched it. I think it was on ABC. My life has never been the same.
The movie changed my life and the way I would look at both reality and science fiction. Cuz life is a lot like science fiction. Isn't it it?
- Well, my life sure is.
- Dr. Zira was trying to prove that man can be domesticated. I'm still not sure.
- As the film starts, Taylor says, "there's gotta be something out there better than man, There has to be." I used to agree. Now I don't know.
- Anyway, it's a classic. Very scientific and says a lot about politics, power and religion. Rod Serling co-wrote the script.
- i had a Planet of the Apes coloring book.
- Damn. I was a geek.
- Still am, i suppose.
