Torro Taxi

she took off a silver locket she said remember me by this

she put her hand in my pocket i got a keepsake and a kiss

and in the roar of the dust and diesel i stood and watched her walk away

i could have caught up with her easy enough but something must have made me stay

and the big wheel keep on turning neon burning up above

and i'm just high on the world

come on and take a long ride with me girl

on the tunnel of love

In between teaching gigs. All of Madrid is gearing up top leave town and partake in the decadence of Semana Santa (holy week). Can you believe it? Hey, we all know I like to party but for a Catholic country, getting inebriated during Holy Week is a bit touched in the head. But that´s the lashback from Franco making them all practice Catholicism.

We saw the bulls yesterday. Not as good as the previous week at all, but fun. It´s like being at a gladiator match. Pretty cool. Will try to post photos if I ever get Internet at the house again.

I may go down south with Stuart or may just stay here if Madrid will really be empty. SLeeping and writing sounds like a good vacation. I have Thurs, Fri and the weekend of. Woo Hoo!

Weekend was great. Bulls yesterday with the fambly ( flatmates). Went out witha ton of people on Viernes and Laura on Sabado. We´ve become good friends. What a messed up chick, but great. This is American Laura. Haven´t seen Spanish Laura in weeks. SHe could still be wandering the streets trying to find her way home.

Laura´s dad, who pretty much abandoned them when she was young, literally lives in a trailer and trains cocks to fight. I swear. With razor blades. She says he dotes on them and that she and her sister wished they were chickens when they were little so that he would pay them some attention. Hoder!!!! Makes my growing up issues look so chicken-shit.

Here mother has money now (They had none growing up) because they discovered natural gas on their land. The truth is more fucked up than any fiction i could write.

What else? Painted like five OOoards (oil on cardboard) this weekend. That was fun!

Speak to you soon!!!!
